Are your estimates really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every estimate is a free, on-site visit. We measure, look at your base, and give you a straight quote with nothing padded.

Do you handle both residential and commercial work?

Accepted Answer

Both. Residential driveways, commercial parking lots, access roads, patching, sealcoating, line striping, and more — the same standard on every job, big or small.

When is the best time of year to pave in Maine?

Accepted Answer

Hot-mix asphalt needs pavement temperatures above about 50°F to place and compact properly, so paving season runs from late spring through mid-fall. Gravel and recycled millings can go down across a wider weather window.

How soon can I drive on new asphalt?

Accepted Answer

Usually 24 to 72 hours for light vehicles. Wait longer for heavy vehicles and sharp turns. Full curing takes a few months — that's normal, and the surface is fine to use in the meantime.

Do I need a full replacement, or can you resurface?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the base. If the base is still sound, an overlay gives you a fresh surface for less. If the base has failed, an overlay just fails again — we'll look on-site and tell you honestly which one your surface needs.

Should I sealcoat a new driveway right away?

Accepted Answer

No. New asphalt needs to cure first — usually at least a full season — or the sealer traps oils and causes more problems than it solves.

What's the difference between recycled millings and gravel?

Accepted Answer

Millings are ground-up asphalt that still contains its binder, so under heat and traffic they knit back into a semi-hard surface. Gravel stays loose. Millings are a durable, budget-friendly choice for long driveways and back roads.
